There was hardly a covered bellybutton to be seen at day two of Swim Fashion Week on the Gold Coast, with a bevy of bikinis taking to the runway. The colour purple seemed to be the favored shade of the night, perfect for the sexually frustrated girls out there.

First off the rank was Seventh Wonderland which featured clever cut-out details, crocheted cover ups and frilly halter styles.

White Sands followed with a collection that was all about prints - from paisley to polka dots and palm trees.

Hotel Bondi Swim closed with a kitsch collection of sixties-style swimsuits, geometric prints and a failed attempt at nerd/poolside chic.

The stand-out of the night was new comer Lisa Blue with a collection that mixed tribal headdresses with fringed bikinis. From the traditional aboriginal music (complete with indigenous dancers) to Beethoven and The Prodigy, to the killer combinations of aboriginal prints in flamboyant colours, Lisa Blue provided a fresh alternative to the predictable floral prints.

The designer, Lisa Burke closed by taking a bow in her fringed bikini.
