Missoni may launch a diffusion line

Missoni heiress Margherita Missoni has recently spoken of the house’s plans to launch a less expensive diffusion line. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, she spoke of her vision for the label’s future, saying: "you need to evolve…if you sit for a moment, you're not relevant in fashion anymore." According to The Wall Street Journal writer Christine Binkley, plans for the new line are still in the works, but it will most likely be launched to coincide with a revamped online sales site. Missoni declined to offer any indications of when we can expect the label to be launched, but did say that the pricing won’t be as low as the Missoni for Target collection—notorious for causing demand-induced internet crashes last year.
