Is Andrej Pejic getting a reality TV show?
Move over Lara Bingle, there’s another Aussie blond set to take the small screen by storm.
Andrej Pejic, the “prettiest boy in the world” may be getting a reality show, according to trusted fashion industry blog Frockwriter.
The angel-faced Australian model is, according to Frockwriter, shooting the show in New York at the moment.
Pejic’s epicene features have made him a major fashion sensation. The Bosnian-born, Melbournian model has walked for both men’s and women’s wear brands, fronted a Jean Paul Gaultier campaign kissing Karolina Kurkova , helped shill push-up bras and played the lady to Rico the Zombie Boy’s gentleman in a Brazilian advertisement.
Despite these successes, and several international magazine covers, Pejic, who is currently ranked number #18 on Models.com’s male model ranking, does not earn anywhere near the kind of cash pulled in by his female supermodel peers.
In an interview with New York magazine, he joked “I don’t get out of bed for less than $50 a day.”
While for many models, who trade on a sense of malleability and mystery, a reality TV show can be the kiss of death, for a personality like Pejic, it could be an incredibly smart career move.
We already know from interviews that Pejic has charm in spades, and if he can parley that into a career that involves talking, as well as looking gorgeous, it could prove a vital cushion against fashion’s fickle nature.
No word yet on what Andrej-on-screen will be like, but Frockwriter is reporting the show may involve his mother as well.
What sort of show do you think he should star in?
