Last year on my epic DJ tour of the USA I met up with my good pal Lori Lobenstine, creator of Female Sneaker Fiend. Finding ourselves in a busy café in Soho NYC, we chatted about an amazing new publication that Lori was slowly piecing together. Girls Got Kicks would showcase some of the worlds most dedicated sneaker freakettes in a glossy coffee table book. Hitting an insane number of road blocks along the way, Lori persisted and bought on board photographer Amanda Lopez (to cover the US contingent) and local legend Cheech Sanchez (to document our down under bunnies).
 
I was fortunate enough to only to be photographed but also interviewed for this project. Moving onto a smaller Vietnamese restaurant around the corner, we sat for over two-hours talking about my sneaker obsession. You’ll have to cop the book to find out what I said!
 
Featuring interviews and pics from high-profile types like Claw Money, Leah McSweeney (Married To The Mob), GDK (Mama Clothing, M.I.S.S. Crew) and Vashtie, this is the first and only photo documentary dedicated to ladies and their sneakers. The book is set to launch this week in the States after over three years of blood sweat and tears.
