DKNY collaborates with Opening Ceremony
DKNY has recently collaborated with Opening Ceremony to reissue 15 designs from DKNY’s archives. Taken exclusively from the early 90s, the designs celebrate DKNY’s heritage and seminal influence in sculpting New York streetwear trends at that time.
Carol Lim, co-founder of Opening Ceremony, spoke of the collaboration to Vogue UK: "We have been longtime fans of the brand and were very excited to bring back select, quintessential styles that feel fresh even today." Jane Chung, executive vice president of design for DKNY, paid back the compliments with her words: “I have always loved Opening Ceremony. They're unique and creative point of view mixed with Nineties throwbacks are very reminiscent of DKNY's core DNA."
With a bold, predominantly black and white ad campaign fronted by glorious girl-of-now Cara Delevigne, the collaboration has been available from late last week at Opening Ceremony stories in London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo, as well as online at the Opening Ceremony website.
