Noot Seear. Never heard of her? Me neither, but on early inspection I
think I like the model with the weird-ass name.
Yes, she has enviable
bedroom eyes and lips you could sleep on, but there's an all-Canadian,
sweet as maple syrup appeal there that makes you want to take her down
to your local, show her off as your new best friend and chug down a few
frothies together. Or maybe just a diet-coke, whatever, but here's her
lowdown: Discovered in hometown Vancouver at age 13, Seear, of
Scottish, English and Swedish origin, has actually been on the fashion
scene for 11 years. The five-foot-niner has flashed her mug on the
covers of Italian Vogue and Canadian Elle in recent years and plays
muse to fashion heavyweights Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani and
Vera Wang. She's doing the apartment thing in New York, she uses her
fame to raise stacks for charity and she hangs with fellow catwalk
sheilas Daria Werbowy and Petra Nemcova. Like all good Canadian girls,
Seear likes to hit the slopes of Whistler in her spare time.
We have
snow here too, Noot. Just say the word.
