The Global Financial F*ck Up (GFFU) has squarely hit our fashion designers in the face, and this year's pared-down RAFW line-up is showing signs of its brutality. Just 45 shows will keep fashion media and trade ensconced in the Overseas Passenger Terminal for a week from April 27th, a reduction of around 30% compared to last year's line-up.

Good news is we'll get to see some of our favourite young labels make RAFW debuts. LMFF favourite Arnsdorf and last year's graduate of the year Dion Lee will have their first solo shows at the event. Antipodium, TV, Romance Was Born, Ellery, Dhini, Karla Spetic, Gail Sorronda, Therese Rawsthorne and Gary Bigeni will also show. Naturally the big guns - sass and bide, Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Zimmermann, Willow, Ginger & Smart, Zambesi and Nicola Finetti - will deliver their own shows.

If you ever wanted to get your mug on one of the world's most popular street style blogs, RAFW is giving you the chance. As reported by Glynnis Traill-Nash in S mag, the Sartorialist and Garance Doré, two of the most popular street style snappers will be here. Scott Schuman, aka the Sartorialist, is a guest of Tourism Australia while his partner Doré is flying herself out here from Paris. Doré said "I'm working with Scott on a shoot here. We are a couple. When he told me he was going [to Australia], I thought I've never been to Australia and I definitely want to attend the fashion week there [and be] shooting there. I can't wait. I will be as interested to go to the shows as to go through the streets."
