Mulberry Spring-Summer 2013 Campaign
Mulberry have once again joined forces with surreal scene-setter Tim Walker on their Spring Summer 2013 campaign. The collection's English seaside theme has exploded into another world. The fairy floss colour palette, gecko prints and abstract florals pop out against an under water setting that would be worthy of Ariel, if it weren't a little too tasteful for Disney.
The campaign stars Canadian model Meghan Collison, in impish good form, with full mermaid hair. The set was designed by Shona Heath, with creative direction from Ronnie Cooke Newhouse.
Newhouse, whose day job is Art Directing House and Home, described the shoot as "a kind of lunar landscape below the sea...in a world that almost exists but may be more of a beautiful dream."
Tim Walker said: “This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape rather than a character within it and, as such, casting was crucial… thus the pictures of Meghan Collison become more like portraits. Meghan Collison was the perfect choice, strong, confident, able to hold your gaze but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape.”
