Lover launch exclusive capsule with Net-A-Porter
Lover, the quiet over-achiever of the Australian fashion industry has this morning launched an exclusive capsule collection with Net-A-Porter.
The label’s distinct and consistent aesthetic, a sort romance-on-the-cusp that hints at both purity and sensuality has won the brand a loyal following.
Lover are particularly known for their lace – an evergreen favourite on the red carpet – and it is this that their Net-A-Porter resort capsule focuses on.
"Creating this capsule collection with Net A Porter was both easy and exciting,” Susien Chong said of the collection in a release to the press. “They came to us with an idea of what they wanted. We then presented it to them at their head office in London, and the order was placed the next day. It was the perfect way to do it."
The small edit comprises three dresses, two blouses and a skirt, in Lover’s signature rosebud lace. Offered in cherry, black and ivory, a trio of colourways also emblematic of the label, the designs have a tailored pragmatism that will take them from day to evening. The blouses appear to be especially flexible, while the dresses are likely to become a cult item.
This marks Net-A-Porter's second exclusive capsule with an Australian label, following last year's high summer range with Zimmermann. Net-A-Porter have also collaborated with a number of Australian labels, including Sass&Bide and Camilla and Marc on one-off pieces.
