Want to know what we’ll be wearing next winter? Here's the low-down on all the autumn/winter 2009-2010 collections and ad campaigns that matter - all the clothes, models and photographers that will knock your socks off. Make sure to click through our gallery above to see all the dirty details.
Chanel
This is Lily Allen's very first campaign for acclaimed French fashion house, Chanel and there ain't no doubt about it, she is looking beautiful in black in white. Karl Lagerfeld hand picked her to front the new campaign, telling WWD that "she's fun". But, seeing as the girl has her very own 'Chanel section' in her designer packed wardrobe I guess fair's fair, non? NB: The bags are reversible and will be out in October.
Anna Sui
The theme of the collection is "Paris at the turn of the century" and the face in Anna's homage to The Beautiful Era is London lady, Daisy Lowe. However, if internet forums are anything to go by, Anna Sui hasn't won many hearts by choosing young Daisy to model in her latest campaign. The best response to the image so far, "the socialite girls are completely S/S 2009, very over them".
Fendi
The new face of Fendi is supermodel Jessica Stam and the pictures, shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself, are being touted as the best the brand has put forward in a long time. In the misty shots she stands out as strong and elegant, but how could you cover ever up those eyes? Even if it is with Fendi eyewear.
Givenchi
Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (who replace Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin after a 9 year partnership) are models Adriana Lima, Iris Strubegger, Jakob Wiechmann, Ranya Mordanova, Lenore Scherer and Simon Nessman. The darkness, or gothness, in these ads looks aristocratic, as always it's frightfully chic and Adriana Lima is amazing.
YSL
Christy Turlington has been photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for Yves Saint Laurent's autumn/winter campaign. Under the direction of Creative Director Stefano Pilati, it's 80s styling with a 90s superstar. And lets be honest, when you've got black, leather and a supermodel who's going to object? The images are set to debut in print in August issues worldwide.
Iceberg
Another Mert & Marcus campaign crowning Amber Valetta, yet again, to be Iceberg's queen. Bright colours, beautiful shapes and big bags ahoy.
Dolce & Gabanna
The Italian film “Rocco e I suoi Fratelli” was used as inspiration when Steven Klein photographed Jesus Luz and Twentieth Century FOX Eva Herzigova. The campaign was shot at the famed Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn and it's so sweaty, so chic.
Louis Vuitton
Madonna, Steven Meisel and Marc Jacobs. Oh, and there's also bunny ears.
Miu Miu
There are no frills in the new autumn/winter season at Miu Miu, and no celebrity faces either. Instead, they've captured the fresh faces of Hannah Holman, Ilda Lundqvist and Mimmi Söderström. Mert & Marcus' unusually severe aesthetic showcases the models faces almost as well as the brand’s clothing.
Jimmy Choo
No doubt viewing this Jimmy Choo collection,
starring über-leggy actress Angela Lindvall, will make you want to buy some animal print and bright accessories . These images have a very post-coital feel about them, so it shouldn't be any surprise to know that they were photographed by the, potentially, very lucky Mr. Terry Richardson.
