Dion Lee Resort 2013 Lunar Tides campaign

Dion Lee Resort 2013 Lunar Tides campaign

Australian photographer on the rise Darren McDonald is known for his use of light, soft focus and multiple exposures, so it made perfect sense for him to lens Dion Lee’s resort campaign.

The ‘Lunar Tides’ collection makes use of reflective knitted material to conjure a sense of fluidity. In addition to being beautiful, this shining approach works well for the party season, hence the resort release. The collection debuted in June, but has only just hit stores.

We saw the lookbook when it first came out, but the campaign focuses particularly on a few key knitted pieces.

Lee said of the images "The light reflective fabric knitted into these pieces is made of glass particles, which is used in safety clothing and signage. These pieces reflect in direct light or camera flash, creating a luminous glow. "
