Lena Dunham channels Twiggy for Entertainment Weekly
Lena Dunham erased any traces of her at times-bumbling style (“My shoes and dress match...sort of!”) in a Twiggy-channelling cover shoot for Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainment Issue.
The iconic 60s beauty look was revitalized by the usual onesie purveyor, who’s Miley-inspired (seriously) grown-out pixie ‘do was transformed into a parted just-bouffant alongside some impressive false lash-arched brows action.
Girls’ multi-million-dollar book-deal darling was impeccably clad in a Mod-esque Comme des Garçons dress, which, floral print and all, gave a fresh spin on the Andy Warhol muse cliché.
Of the flawless Ruven Afanador-spread, on-shoot hairstylist Rheanne White said the Judd Apatow prodigy “absolutely loved it. She was taking pictures of herself and she kept all the makeup to go out that night.” See guys, Lena also lives for that iPhone selfie mirror camera function - she's just like us the rest of us after all!
Also, before you are left to marvel at the stunning transformation, let’s take a quick moment to appreciate that monochrome manicure. Perfection.
