Get amongst it: in the field or the barn, the garden, the grove or the greenhouse. For northern autumn/winter '09 ad campaigns are all about getting back to nature: frolicking in the crisp air, bathing in the gentle sunshine, getting your hands dirty and rolling in the hay.

Chloe, Chanel, Calvin Klein and Burberry have all recently released ad campaigns inspired by what mother nature has at her disposal. So why not take advantage of it yourself? Go on, leave the fireside, go for a run, climb a rock, ride a horse, get your blood flowing!

But first, ensure your skin in top condition by focusing on circulation, moisturizing and using treatments specifically designed to target sensitivity, scarring, stretch marks and so on.

Begin your new regime by switching from your usual soap to a product that contains Colloidal Oatmeal (such as DermaVeen’s Bath and Shower Oil) and getting in the habit of finishing your showers with quick burst of cold water. This is the ideal way to address sensitivity, tighten pores and tone your skin.

Use an exfoliating mitt and body brush - alternating between them once or twice a week - on damp skin, starting at your toes and working your way up. Don’t forget your arms, shoulders, back and the soles of your feet though skip the more delicate areas such as your face and décolletage.

Nourish your body with an all-over moisturiser (such as Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula) before softening the tough skin on your feet with a cream rich in AHAs (such as NeoStrata’s Lotion Plus).

Finish by tending to scars and stretch marks with a treatment oil - Bio Oil works wonders! Palmers also do a remedying oil that I'm told is grand.
