Watch: phenomenal ‘Game of Thrones' Season 3 behind-the-scenes teaser
Who's saying what
Though the first of what will presumably be many Game of Thrones Season 3 teasers was incredibly anticlimactic – word to HBO, 30 seconds of mood music and a date doesn’t constitute a significant preview – the second behind-the-scenes production teaser is a delectable two-minute taste of the looming winter.
Set to hit screens on March 31st, the upcoming season will be packed with all the preceding plotting-dense, Lannister-loathing, salacious sex-infused goodness of the first two seasons and more—“the game’s been upped”, promises Emilia Clarke AKA Dany, in the clip.
Full of performer and producer interviews, sneak peeks at the enchanting costume designs, and blink-and-you’ll-miss it inductions of new cast members, an adoring audience is also privy to the show’s tantalizing sets – specifically, Moroccan, Icelandic and Irish backdrops, while EPs and teaser images have also promised some serious Croatian castle action. Let’s not even being to speculate where the embroiled on-screen get-web will take us!
Based on the first half of George R.R. Martin’s ternary A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy epic, A Storm of Swords, the show adapts the novel's spellbinding plotline in which “The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros are still in the grip of the War of the Five Kings, with the remaining kings Robb Stark, Balon Greyjoy, Joffrey Baratheon, and Stannis Baratheon fighting to secure their crowns [while] civil war continues to destroy the common people.” Looking forward to hours more of gratuitous nudity and some severely unstuck psychological ploys.
