Ellen Degeneres will dance into Australia this March

Dancing queen and long-time Justin Bieber enthusiast Ellen Degeneres will be bringing her best swag to home shores this March.
In LA this afternoon, the talk show magnate announced in a – dare we say it – Oprah-esque manner that she’d be flying all 400 members of her unsuspecting audience to our humble continent this year as part of a massive Qantas and Swisse promotion.
Though according to the Sydney Morning Herald this is “not like the Oprah deal when the star and the audience travelled here together and became part of the show.
“The Ellen DeGeneres Show will not be recorded here. Instead, she will film segments in Sydney and Melbourne to be played on her program at a later date. The audience each gets an airline ticket to travel to Sydney or Melbourne on any date in the next 12 months with six nights accommodation at a four star hotel.”
The 13-time Emmy Award winner will reportedly be in wife Portia de Rossi’s hometown, Melbourne, over the Gran Prix weekend, and presumably head to Sydney after.
“I am actually for the first time in my life going to Australia. I’m going in March and I'm going to shoot a bunch of stuff in Melbourne and Sydney. We're going to do tape pieces and meet the fans and hang out”, she said.
