Delivering the perfect action one-liner is an unappreciated art form. Preferably, it needs to make absolutely no sense in the context of the scene and provide unintended laughter at the lame and unfortunate use of puns and wisecracks. Even so, they have become part of our dialogue and many of us are guilty of quoting them ad nauseum.

The 1980s were clearly the glory days of action one-liners with prolific work from Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and to a lesser extent Jean Claude Van Damme. They are clearly a product of a specific time as recent attempts to revive them have failed miserably. I’m looking at you Bruce Willis and your PG version of "Yippee Ki Yay Mother F*#ker" in Die Hard 4 with the last two key words missing. Shame on you.

We have compiled the top ten most memorable action one-liners. Try not to quote them. I dare you.
