Michel Gondry seems a perfect fit for Japan. The wildly inventive French director — who isn't adverse to explaining his dreams about farting so much in bed that he dreams of being smothered by excrement (see his Directors Series DVD for that tidbit) — joining a lineage of television that includes such game show goldmines as being punched in the balls and having boiling water pored into ones mouth to see if the contestant can guess the "taste".

Gondry made this advertisement for a department store sale. You don't really need to know that though. Heavily reminiscent of scenes he's shot for both Foo Fighters' 'Everlong' clip and his feature film The Science of Sleep, the clip features oversize feet, violence and a psychotic man.
