Fresh off a Screen Actors’ Guild Award win, and facing the final episode of her cult comedy 30 Rock, Tina Fey has more news for us.
The writer and actress has confirmed she has a deal to develop a new show for NBC, which we can expect to happen over the next few years.
During press for the SAGs, she also spoke of her new comedy alongside Date Night co-star Steve Carell, Mail Order Bride which she is working on with Robert Carlock.
Most exciting of all, Fey confirmed she is working on a musical version of Mean Girls, a film that is arguably the zenith of human cultural achievement. Fey is working on the adaptation with her husband, who is also responsible for 30 Rock’s music, and told E! News “I think Paramount’s on board.”
