Recently, in my review of the film Precious, I dropped the bombshell that Mariah Carey had actually given a decent cinematic performance.

It was around this era that she also appeared on MTV and confused the hell out of host and viewers alike:


Anyway, Mariah's relatively good performance in Precious made me think that perhaps she was getting her act together - that she wasn't as much of a tweaker as I originally thought.

Well, it would seem that I was mistaken. She won an award last night for Breakthrough Artist at the Palm Springs Film Festival and somebody encouraged her to make a speech.

MISTAKE:



Is she drunk? High? Bananas? Who knows.

All I know is that's 1.42 of my life that I'm not going to get back.
