Okay Bat-fans, your time has come: Warner Bros. have released the full-length trailer for Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film,
The Dark Knight rises.
Get ready for
chanting and the most bummer game of gridiron in recent memory:
And there you have it.
Given the amount of conjecture there has been about plot points and central characters in
The Dark Knight Rises ("Marion Cotillard is Catwoman! No, wait, Anne Hathaway is! Wait maybe Joseph Gordon Levitt is!"), you'd think Warner Bros. might have released a synopsis by now, but instead all we get is "Eight years after the events of
The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes."
That has, unsurprisingly, led to even
more conjecture! From
New York Daily News: "A scene in the trailer also seems to show Bale's Bruce Wayne walking with a cane — a sight DC comics fans may recognize from the storyline that introduced Bane in the '90s, when the drug-fueled killer broke Batman's back."
Thoughts?
