Because I was unable to watch the Oscars live yesterday, I sat up late last night to watch them on Channel Nine.

I thought I'd seen all the good bits:

James Franco and Seth Rogen turning The Reader into a stoner comedy, a la Pineapple Express ...



... awkward cuts to Angelina Jolie during Jennifer Aniston's presentation ...



... and Sean Penn coining the term "commie homo-loving sons of guns" ... but forgetting to thank his teary wife Robin Wright Penn:




But for some reason, even though I stayed glued to the television until it wrapped around midnight, I missed the best bit of the whole damned thing - Ben Stiller taking the piss out of Joaquin Phoenix.

Either Channel Nine are douchebags, and managed to edit the funniest bit out of the broadcast, or I fell asleep.
