Rebel Wilson will host the MTV Movie Awards
In what caps off a fairly stellar year for Rebel Wilson, it’s recently been announced that she will be hosting the MTV Movie Awards on April 14th. Although we in Australia may have become originally acquainted with Wilson from her role as Toula in Pizza (amazing!), since her American breakout role Bridesmaids last year she’s starred in a series of big-screen Hollywood productions, the most recent of which is Pitch Perfect. Wilson’s star looks set to keep rising—she has two other films in production, one of which is Pain & Gain in which she will star alongside Mark Wahlberg.
Wilson will be the first female host since Sarah Silverman in 2007. The Awards will air from the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, California.
