One good thing about three new Star Wars films

So by now we're all cool with the knowledge that there will be another three Star Wars movies, right?

(Rundown for those who are just joining us: George Lucas offloaded LucasFilm to Disney, who confirmed another three films almost immediately, sending everybody into a lather.)

In further news to suggest that this may not, as it turns out, be the worst thing that has ever happened, it now looks as though storied poster artist Drew Struzan is back on the team for the upcoming sequels.

The unfairly talented artist told Fanhattan this week that the Episodes VII-IX posters are likely to further delay his alleged retirement:

"You know, I spent 35 years painting Star Wars. I painted Star Wars before most of you were born! But I guess there is always a chance. There’s no intention. But I would love to have a day off every now and again, and I have to work a weekend and all through the night. If the opportunity arises, it will be a real temptation. But it’s going to have to be a real temptation to get me away from my wife and my little grandkids and my family. Away from the green trees and the blue skies for a change instead of just locked in the studio. But, you know, never say never. All things are possible."

The first instalment in the post-Jedi narrative is due for release in 2015. In the meantime, feast your eyes on a gallery of Struzan's greatest hits above.
