Old Spice has never been so hot.
Isaiah Mustafa,the man famous for appearing in a series of comical TV advertisementsfor Old Spice deodorant, has landed a movie role.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Mustafa is set to appear alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman in
Horrible Bosses,a film about a group of friends who conspire to kill their managers. Hehas also signed an exclusive deal with American TV network NBC and willappear in a guest spot in the television show
Chuck.

The former NFL player shot to global stardom for being
The Man Your Man Could Smell Like. The television commercials were a global online hit, garnering
millions of views on YouTube and reinventing the Old Spice brand for Procter & Gamble.
The ads have spawned a series of parodies, most recently a mashup with
Mel Gibson's famous rants. Even Tim Costello has got in on the act,
donning a bath robe in a promotion for World Vision.
Thecompany cleverly capitalised on the success of the ads by harnessingsocial media. Mustafa has appeared in many more YouTube videos,responding to viewers' questions collected from the video sharing site,Facebook and Twitter - and always appearing in a bathroom wearing onlya towel.
The ads even attracted the attention ofHollywood celebrities, with Mustafa filming humorous responses for thelikes of Demi Moore, Alyssa Milano and Ashton Kutcher, as well asappearing on
Ellen and
The Oprah Winfrey Show. In typical Oprah fashion, a director was on hand to offer Mustafa an acting role.
Despire his flair for comedy, for now he seems typecast playing authority figures. In
Horrible Bosses he will play a policeman, in
Chuck he will be a CIA agent and his former television credits include playing a bailiff in
Ugly Betty and a cop in
Days of Our Lives.
Mustafa's 12-month contract with Old Spice is nearing an end and no new ads are in the works.
