More details on Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic
More details have emerged on Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs biopic, following on from the news (released in May) that the writer has signed on to pen the screenplay to this Sony project.
At the Daily Beast’s Hero Summit, Sorkin not only revealed that the film will take place in real time, but also that it “is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only”. Apparently, the three segments in question will be half hour pieces that take place backstage right before three significant Apple product launches: the Mac, the NeXT (Jobs's 1985 post-Mac computer), and the iPod.
The film will be based on Walter Isaacson’s authorised biography and will be produced by Scott Rudin, who also worked on The Social Network, Moneyball and No Country for Old Men.
