Nicolas Cage's latest 'film', Knowing, is all about a list. All about the numbers. All about Nicolas Cage playing... well Nicolas Cage... again. So we thought it was time for a list of our own.

Last week I called Knowing the worst Cage film ever. Meanwhile Sandra Hall who gave it an extra star, pointed out that:

"Cage's hangdog expression is a constant. The only thing about it that's changed over the years is the manner in which he employs it."

So in this everchanging world in which we live, the one constant is Nicolas Cage. But if practice makes perfect, what exactly is Mr Cage becoming the perfect specimen of? He's a constant hit at the box office; his films have taken almost 2 billion worldwide and seven have grossed more than one hundred million. And yes he's made some really great films. He's even won an Oscar. But on a turkey per actor count, he is very competetive in Hollywood.

For every Adaptation he has a National Treasure, a Weather Man or a Wicker Man. But now he has Knowing. Has the bar been raised (or lowered)? Has Nicolas made his worst film?

Welcome, to the ultimate Cage fight. Film on Film. Cage on Cage:

61 will enter (according to IMDb)
1 will... win?

Which is the WORST Nicolas Cage film ever?

This is a Cage Fight for you, the people to decide.

To get you started, you can find a list of his films here. According to the good people at BoxOfficeMojo, these are the Top Ten films, based on global box office takings for Nicolas Cage to date:

Date Film Box Office (U.S. Dollars)

12/21/07 National Treasure: Book of Secrets $219,964,115
11/19/04 National Treasure $173,008,894
6/07/1996 The Rock $134,069,511
2/16/07 Ghost Rider $115,802,596
6/27/97 Face/Off $112,276,146
6/09/2000 Gone in 60 Seconds $101,648,571
6/06/1997 Con Air $101,117,573
12/18/87 Moonstruck $80,640,528
4/10/1998 City of Angels $78,685,114
12/22/00 The Family Man $75,793,305

Interesting to note that one of Cage's two Razzie nominations came for... his most successful film! (The other one was for The Wicker Man).

What does it mean that his 'best' film according to one poll, is a film in which he made a cameo (Grindhouse)?

According to the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences the fight for his best film is between Leaving Las Vegas - for which he won an Oscar - and Adaptation, for which he was nominated.

So go on, ask yourself. What's worse Ghost Rider or Bangkok Dangerous? Captain Corelli's Mandolin or Windtalkers? What's better Moonstruck or Raising Arizona? Face/Off The Rock?

So which, in your opinion, is the worst Nicolas Cage film ever?

And just for balance:

Which do you think is his best?

And finally, is Knowing the worst film on Nicolas Cage's illustrious black list?

And why are people still seeing it?!
