On this week's episode of Emptiness and Despair (not a real show), Jim Carrey makes a home video in which he professes his love for Emma Stone and describes how he wishes he was 20 years younger and could have the sex that makes the babies and then take the whole family camping.
It is uncomfortable viewing to say the very least.

described his performance in Mr Popper's Penguins as that of a man "on the brink of some personal abyss," and it seems we weren't far off. From the review, "Carrey makes the emptiness and despair at the core of his character uncomfortably real. If this sounds like exaggeration, just look at his eyes. His body is still one of the most ridiculously expressive things seen on-screen, and while he’s aging a bit – he’s nearly 50 – he’s hardly falling apart. But time and again his eyes are just dead. Dead, empty pits that go somewhere you do not want to follow."

[Looks aside, contemplates, shakes himself back into 'reality']
Everyday for the rest of your life, you would thank God
[Awkard smile] that I was the appropriate age for you
[Lingering smile]. But I'm not. I'm 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little grey in my beard, and it takes me a little longer to pee than it used to. Those are the only discernible signs of aging that I can find so far. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how I felt. You're pretty special
[Very earnest nod of the head], and I wish you continued success
[Bites lip] and artistic fulfillment, but most of all, I wish you love and contentment
[Lingering smile]. That's all.
[Mouths the words "I love you. I do." nods head, looks like he might cry, turns off camera.]
