I am pretty scared of a lot of things; the dark, anything that goes fast, loud noises... the list goes on. So, when the trailer for The Devil Inside came through this morning I was quick to find someone - anyone - in the office who might be physically capable of watching such a thing. Luckily, I found someone! Which is why I can now tell you what happens in the trailer below, despite not actually being brave enough to watch this Exorcist meets Paranormal Activity 1/2/3 scary thing:
In 1989, Maria Rossi murdered three people during her own exorcism. She called 911 on her bad self and was taken away to a mental hospital in Rome. Years later, her daughter Isabella decides to go and visit her mother in the hospital and speak with a few doctors/experts to try to uncover what happened.
She recognises that her dear mother might still be filled with evil spirits when she says something like "connect the cuts" (she has crosses cut into her arms and inner-lip).
The "experts" suggest going to see a real exorcism so she can "really help her mother" and so off they go to a basement where there is another person who needs to be exorcised lying twisted in a bed, and a priest.
From there: someone's eyes roll back. The basement body climbs a wall. A British guy picks up four different voices ie. FOUR DIFFERENT DEMONS MIGHT BE INSIDE MARIA ROSSI.
The mother says "YOU WILL BURN"
Screams.
