Emily Blunt's Wardrobe Evolution
While playing a style-struck assistant in one of the most ‘fashion’ movies in recent memory certainly doesn’t hurt a girl’s wardrobe reputation, Emily Blunt’s personal style is more femme than fierce.
On the red carpet and at junkets the star is rarely seen out of a dress, and she’s always had a penchant for bright colours.
While her fondness for looking girly has not changed, Blunt has slowly transformed from a slightly sunburnt British girl next door, into a woman of intimidating elegance.
Blunt has always been conscious of trends, but seems to have found her favourite in cut-away frocks. She likes to keep her silhouettes classic and flattering, so her love of unexpected exposure adds interest to a style that is otherwise simple.
In terms of accessories, Blunt likes square clutches and big, chunky bangles and she is rarely seen out of stilettos.
While Blunt’s style hasn’t changed with her film roles with the same sort of consciousness as someone like Rooney Mara or Jennifer Lawrence, she does tend to turn up the glamour when she’s playing a love interest, and opt for slightly more twee choices when she’s doing comedies.
