Anne Hathaway wants to do more musicals
In the wake of her success playing Fantine in last year’s mega-musical, Les Miserables, Anne Hathaway has recently spoken of her interest in taking part in more. Hathaway is famously only on-screen for little over 20 minutes of the 157 minute-long epic, but it has already been enough to score her a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, and put her as a contender for the same award at the Oscars, which take place a little later this month.
Speaking about the possibility of more musicals being made, she commented: “I'm a big fan of them, so that would make me very happy both as an actress and as an audience member."
Hathaway was in Berlin promoting the film at the Berlin International Film Festival. Les Miserables is up for eight Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor (Hugh Jackman).
