You know how when you’re a kid other kids will tell you about things they saw in movies and all you can think is “no way”? For me it was when this guy Kevin claimed this telemovie about child abuse called ‘Unspeakable Acts’ had a scene where a kid had sex with a chicken.
Anyway, just so you know; in the future, when someone comes up to you outside the 7/11 and tells you they saw a movie where Meryl Streep goes down on Tommy Lee Jones in a cinema only he can’t get it up, they’re not lying. It’s this film. Also, you should probably stop going to that 7/11.
Imagine, if you will, someone whose entire life has been built around the use of their mind. It’s what defines them, what has made them a success in their field, the thing they’ll be remembered for after they’re gone. What kind of movie would you make about them? No, not a movie where they used their super-smartness to conquer the world, they already made that movie, it was called Limitless and it’s awesome: no, it’s Alzheimer’s time.
Yes, this is based on the true story of author Iris Murdoch, but still, if you made a movie about someone whose whole life was based around their physical abilities and then the story suddenly took them away people would call you a manipulative hack.
