A couple of weeks ago we spoke about how Pacific Rim looks like the coolest blockbuster project that’s been on the table in ages. Now the trailer is out, and it entirely and heart-palpatatingly confirms our original diagnosis of awesome.
From not-at-all-stupid-looking monsters to equally not-stupid looking mechas, to the grand, doomy sound track to a big epic speech involving the phrase “Today we are cancelling the apocalypse”, the whole thing looks stupendously epic and silly and exciting.
