Late last Monday night, Lindsay Lohan was whisked out of her jail cell (after serving 14 of her 90-day sentence) and sent straight to rehab for three months. But before all the legal dramas of late, Lindsay sat for a shoot with photographer Tyler Shields to promote her upcoming role as '70s pornstar Linda Lovelace in Inferno. The photoshoot is pretty tame, and Lohan is clearly attempting to purvey Lovelace's (born Boreman) vulnerability.

Lovelace/Boreman's story is a pretty tragic one: her husband (also her pimp and manager) Chuck Traynor was apparently violent and controlling; forcing Lovelace to perform in hardcore and beastiality films, at times beating her or threatening her with a gun. He was so controlling, said Lovelace, that she wasn't allowed out of his sight – he even has a peephole put into their bathroom.

Boreman went from pro-porn to anti-porn (she joined the feminist anti-pornography movement in the early '80s) but then stated that she felt used by not just pornographers, but the feminists she worked with too. In 2002, after another marriage plagued by violence and emotional abuse, Boreman died after being taken off life support following a car crash.

Lovelace's most famous film Deep Throat made approximately $100 million at cinemas and through home video sales. Lovelace was paid $1250 to star, which Traynor kept.
