Let’s be honest, we all have TV families and friends that we probably like better than our real ones. These fictional creations never asked for much and provided company and amusement no matter the hour. It’s when these characters and their series conclude that we realise how much they meant to us and the void that is left in their absence.
Sure you may scoff at the emotional attachment to what is nothing more than the active imagination of a writer, but I assure you that the tears that accompany the fade to black at the end of a series are truly heartfelt, misplaced but definitely heartfelt.
The recent
Seinfeld cast reunion and the unfortunate
Hey Hey Minstrel Variety Hour have made us ponder what TV casts we’d love to see reunite. In reminiscing we found that it was those shows that left us wanting more that we sorely miss, and in some instances a perverse desire to see former idols in their not-so-cute adult glory.
We present for your approval the top ten TV cast reunites we’d like to see. All of these shows are memorable for their own reasons and well worth catching up with, if only to find out that you can never go home again…sorry Daryl.
10. Firefly
The series was perfectly cast and seemed to be on the verge of something great, plus Captain Mal was just so darn cool.
9. Hey, Dad!
Sure it’s mean and mainly for cheap laughs, but who wouldn’t love to them reunite after all these years.
8. Friends
Small screen reunion only please.
7. Full House
Just like
Hey, Dad!, I’d love to see them use the same cheese laden formula of the original series to the problems the adult version of the Tanner kids would be going through.
6. Twin Peaks
Anyone else really miss not seeing Coop and Harry anymore?
5. Saved by the Bell
Jimmy Fallon is on the case…
4. Northern Exposure
Such a great cast is definitely worthy of a reunion.
3. The Late Show
Australia’s greatest comedy ensemble should come back to show these new guys how it’s done.
2. The Wonder Years
Anyone else ever wonder what Kevin, Paul and Winnie are up to?
1. Arrested Development
The show was television perfection that still has so much to give. The upcoming movie may make this wish come true but we don’t want to count our chickens.
