Forget the Oscars, forget the AFIs and forget the BAFTAs. The Inside Film Awards are the people's choice awards for Australian films.
The awards are being held in sunny Queensland this November and will be attended by local and international film folk. In fact, TheVine will be there streaming all the best bits back to this here website.
The thing that sets these awards apart from the others is that it's voted for by you - the cinema-goer.
Throughout the year audiences across Australia register their scores on score sheets distributed at film festivals and screenings or via the
awards website. In 2007 almost 50,000 valid Inside Film Award scores were recorded.
In essence, the awards give you the chance to play critic by rating the films between 1 and 5 (5 being the highest).
Scoring for the 2008 Inside Film Awards will close on the 12th of September, 2008. So hurry up,
