According to The Hollywood Reporter, Uma Thurman has signed on to star opposite New Moon heart-throb Robert Pattinson in the upcoming feature Bel Ami.

Pattinson is set to play George Duroy, a poor journalist who sleeps his way to the top in Paris. Thurman will play the woman who eventually becomes his wife. Word on the street is Kristin Scott Thomas has also just signed on.

Apparently Nicole Kidman's name was originally attached to the project, but she had to pull out and hand the reigns over to Uma.

Thank goodness. If Nicole Kidman was the one who got to play kissy face with Robert Pattinson, well, that would prove that there actually is no god.
