LINDSAY LOHAN SEEMS TO MISUNDERSTAND HOW A CLOAK ROOM WORKS
Lindsay Lohan has been caught up in the riddle of a $11,000 fur coat which went missing from a birthday party in a New York bar.
Masha Markova claims her blond mink jacket vanished when she tried to
retrieve it from a bundle of coats at trendy nightspot 1 Oak, where she
was celebrating the birthday of a friend on 26 January.
Two weeks later she spotted Lohan - who was also present at the party -
wearing an identical garment in the pages of a celebrity magazine,
photographs taken the same night the coat went missing.
Markova insisted, "It was my coat. It was no doubt," and instructed her lawyer to threaten legal action upon the actress.
Soon after, she was contacted by bosses at 1 Oak, who then returned the
item, without explanation, smelling of alcohol and cigarette smoke and
with a tear in the lining.
Although she cannot prove Lohan is responsible for "borrowing" the
coat, Markova is demanding a $10,000 (£5,000) fee for the rental. She
says, "I don't see how it could have been an accident."
Lohan's spokesperson has yet to respond to the
New York Post report.

Nelson Mandela to ask her to perform at his 90th
birthday.
The ex-politician called the
Back To Black star to invite her to sing at his birthday concert in London's Hyde Park in June.
The 24-year-old didn't believe it was Mandela initially - but as soon as she realised it wasn't a prank she accepted his offer.
A source tells British newspaper the
Daily Mail, "Amy was stunned when she got the call. She thought it was a hoax - well you would wouldn't you.
"But once she worked out it was really him she accepted straight away and gushed about how much she was looking forward to it. She couldn't believe it."
Queen rockers Brian May and Roger Taylor, Annie Lennox and British rockers Keane are among the acts who have already signed up for the gig, while U2, the Spice Girls and Sir Paul McCartney have also been approached to take part in the celebrations.
JOKER ACTION FIGURE WALKS OUT THE DOORBatman fans have cleaned out New York toy stores' entire supply of
Heath Ledger's Joker action figure, within minutes of them going on sale.
Devotees of the comic book series lined up early to clear shelves of the $9.99 toy, which shows Ledger in his final completed role before his premature death in January from an accidental drug overdose, aged just 29.
An employee of Times Square's Toys R Us store says, "There are none left in the warehouse. You will be waiting a while if you want one."
Some fans are believed to be buying up stock, convinced the figure is a collector's item - others are selling them on auction site eBay for up to $55 each.
Ledger will be seen as The Joker alongside Christian Bale's Batman in
The Dark Knight - which hits movie theatres worldwide in July.
