Carrey tries comedy again

Should we be scared that Jim Carrey is trying comedy again? Perhaps we should. After all, his last effort was 2005's Fun with Dick and Jane, which was as funny as a funeral.

But then again, he did bring us Cable Guy and Ace Ventura. Actually, we forgive him everything for his character Hank in the Farrelly brother's film Me, Myself and Irene:

His new film Yes Man is adapted from a book by British writer Danny Wallace, who challenged himself to say "yes" to everything for a year.

He is joined by Zooey Deschanel (who we're all falling quietly in love with), Aussie Terrance Stamp and Rhys Darby - aka Murray from Flight of the Conchords. At this stage it's due for release in Australia on January 1, 2009.
