Like playoffs? You bet your ass you do! But before we get to that professional stuff, check out this (legit) 80-yard lacrosse goal that won its high school team the final with just 10 seconds left...

Hot damn... that guy would've had his choice of the ladies that night! He probably looks like this guy.

NBA (Basketball)
* Playoffs Round 2 (Conference Semi-finals)
    Eastern Conference
      Chicago Bulls (2) vs Atlanta Hawks (2)
      Miami Heat (3) vs Boston Celtics (1)

    Western Conference
      Memphis Grizzlies (2) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (2)
      Los Angeles Lakers (0) vs Dallas Mavericks (4)

* Bulls vs Hawks
The last time Atlanta had won a home game in the second round of a playoffs series was in 1996. That streak of 9 straight losses over the past 15 years finally ended on Monday when they were able to grind out a 100-88 win over the Bulls on the back of some fine performances from Josh Smith and Jeff Teague. Smith - known for his inconsistent performances - hit 23 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists in the win while Teague continued to impress at point guard filling in for the injured Kurt Hinrich. The Bulls need more from their support crew as Derrick Rose can't do it all himself. He put up a whopping 30 shots on Sunday night for a total of 34 points while also adding 10 assists in the loss. Game five is being played as I type. (Update: a big last quarter from the Bulls saw them run away with it 95-83).

* Heat vs Celtics
Despite some underwhelming performances in the series from key big man Chris Bosh, the Miami Heat have been getting it done and find themselves up 3-1 over the Celtics and just one win away from locking in a spot in the conference championships. In game 4 it was Lebron James who stepped up in the clutch for 35 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Heat to a 98-90 overtime win on Monday night. While I mentioned Chris Bosh's average efforts so far against the Celtics, he did manage 20 points and 12 boards in the game including a crucial tip-in to put the game out of reach with about 30 seconds left in OT.

* Grizzlies vs Thunder
It's not often that a basketball game goes past midnight, but on Monday night the Thunder (down 2-1 in the series at the time) had to travel to Memphis to try and regain a foothold in the series against the eighth seeded Grizzlies yesterday. With five minutes left in the fourth quarter the job looked done, but a fightback from the Griz and a 3-pointer from Mike Conley with three seconds left forced the game into overtime. Even that wasn't enough, this game went to triple overtime before the Grizzlies finally faded and went down 133-123. Russell Westbrook had 40 points and Kevin Durant 35 for the Thunder, while Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies. The series is now level at 2-2 and heads to Oklahoma City tomorrow for game 5.

* Lakers vs Mavericks
The Los Angeles Lakers attempt at winning another three-peat is dead, after being clean sweeped (?.. swept?) by the Dallas Mavericks. After finding themselves down three-zip in the series the Lakers pretty much gave up for game four, and they were blown away 122-86 and were actually outscored by the Mav's bench! Dallas also set a playoff record with 20 three-pointers (at 62.5%) including nine from Jason Terry alone. Terry ended up with a game high 32 points while JJ Barea and Peja Stojakovic added 22 and 21 points respectively. Oh, did I mention the Lakers flat out lost the plot in the fourth quarter and had both Odom and Bynum ejected for flagrant fouls? Watch the tape, Bynum in particular. The Mavericks will now wait for the winner of the Thunder and Grizzlies to see who they'll take on in the conference championship.

NHL (Ice Hockey)
* Playoffs Round 2 (Conference Semi-finals)
    Eastern Conference
      Washington Capitals (0) vs Tampa Bay Lightning (4)
      Philadelphia Flyers (0) vs Boston Bruins (4)

    Western Conference
      Vancouver Canucks (4) vs Nashville Predators (2)
      San Jose Sharks (3) vs Detroit Red Wings (2)

* The Eastern Conference Semi's ended quickly with two clean sweeps. First it was the number one seeded Washington Capitals who were stunned by Tampa Bay, while the Boston Bruins were too good for the Flyers from Philadelphia. Meanwhile over in the West the Canucks were able to overcome the Nashville Predators 4-2 in their series.

* After finding themselves down 3-0 in their series against the San Jose Sharks, the Detroit Red Wings have rallied with back to back wins to get themselves back within a shot of leveling the series today in Detroit. Starring for them in game five was Pavel Datsyuk with 3 assists while goalie Jimmy Howard kept them in the game with a 39 save performance.

* Annnndd now it's penalty time... two minutes for checking! Boom!
