Sam Sparro is one of the most interesting Pop artists to surface in recent years.
Refreshingly multi dimensional, he manages to balance a depth as an artist; writing and producing much of his own music while still having a sound that is unashamedly radio friendly and funtimes.

For Aussie born Sam life is pretty good right now!

Splitting his time between LA and London (plus a heavy touring schedule), Mr. Sparro recently popped home for an amazing ‘caped crusader’ performance at the ARIA Awards. While in town, we caught up with Sam and got the scoop on his favorite hang out spots when back in old Sydney town…

*       Restaurants & Café’s?
Jimmy Liks in Potts Point. Nice atmosphere plus incredible cocktails and food. I recommend the ‘Kyoto Protocol’ to drink and the set menu, its divine!
Café wise, Speedo's at North Bondi. Great burgers and the best Potato Wedges ever!

*       Clubs?
Actually I can't think of a club in Sydney that I really like, but there are some cool bars that I love going to like the Green Park in Paddington – perfect for a game of pool and a quiet drink. The Bondi Icebergs have great cocktails and an incredible view and also The Columbian in Darlinghurst, just an all around nice bar.

*       Shopping?

Ksubi in Bondi or Paddington - I can't seem to ever walk out empty handed.
Incu (in the city and Paddington) is awesome for really stylish smart and casual gear. There are loads of great second hand stores on Crown St, you need a lot of patience, but you can find some really unique clothes if you put in the effort!

*       Beaches?
I'm a sucker for Bondi! Always seem to run into friends there and it's just so sexy.
For a more relaxing time, definitely Camp Cove near Watson's Bay and for swimming I’d have to say Palm Beach - I lived right there as a child and love going back there.
It's big and spacious with great waves!
