Like most sane people, I love a dessert. I think ice cream is an every time food and I'm somewhat of a snob about it too. I mean, I will murder you for ice cream, you have no idea what I'm capable of. At any given moment I can list the closest establishments that sell milkshakes and if they're any good (I can maybe even tell you which server makes them better and what their hobbies are). Think of me as the dessert whisperer. That's right, I'm like the Robert Redford of dessert and yeah, I went there.
There are a gang of places that are good for dessert in LA, but I find that simple is better in most cases. Carl's Jr has hand scooped shakes that are surprisingly awesome and Baskin-Robbins with there damn 31 flavours have a good chocolate shake. But I'm not here to talk about shakes in general, I'm here to talk about an establishment that offers everything and, no, I'm not talking about Millions of Milkshakes. I'm never, ever going there ever again. Mostly because I don't like to feel like I'm in a club when I'm enjoying a dessert. No, I'm talking about MILK. Located on Beverly Blvd this little corner store is amazing, or, more specifically their ice cream parlor is. The homemade ice cream is on another level, it's so wizard. I went in the other day and came up on a banana split. Now I've never been a banana split kind of guy, but Jesus, it was heaven.
I wish there where more places like MILK in Melbourne, more dessert focused delicatessens, because that's what's up. Next time your in LA visit MILK and forget about every problem you've ever had in life.
