I love a dress shoe. I made a big decision long ago that the dress shoe for me is an every occasion shoe. I will wear those things to the ground. I’m the kind of guy who buys a new pair of dress shoes once a year and wears them until they are barking. I mean, I haven’t worn I pair of socks in three years and I’m not planning on it anytime soon. So you can imagine, after three months of wearing that same dress shoe, things are getting pretty sketchy. Call me nuts, but I love it. The only time you won’t catch me wearing dress shoes is when I’m on the court. Yeah get me on the court and I’m trouble. Last week I messed around and got a triple double.
The one pair of shoes I want right now are the KR3W MCKINLEY’S. Now before I go any further, I know, if you had of told me four years ago that I would be into a pair of KR3W dress shoes I would’ve laughed at you. That was right around the time I was working at the local skate shop in Frankston. Every kid wanted a sticker, I went nuts. But as of late I have been paying a lot of attention to the recent KR3W collections coming out of the states. There are pieces in there that are really strong. It’s funny how some brands don’t translate in Australia. It happens in the US too. In Australia, Wrangler is worn by hot girls and rock gypsy’s... In America, it’s worn by
Brett Favre and people who shop at WalMart. KR3W in the US looks more like a high-end fashion house then a skate company. I think someday soon that will translate to the Australian market. It’s happening right under your nose.
