I just watched Addicted to Plastic by Ian Connacher on the ABC. This is truly a must see film for all who care about the world. This is truly an important documentary and it offers hope to all of us. There is a way forward.

I had seen this before, but thought some of you out there might be interested. This film highlights the problems with plastics choking the environment and the oceans of the world. I won't go into the details here, but you might have heard of the plastic soup. You might also heard of the Eastern Garbage Patch in the US. This patch, the plastic soup, is full of plastic that comes from us via our addiction to plastic. It isn't just the manufacturers fault. It is us. We have a choice and we have to say no to plastics.

The film isn't just about the bad stuff, it points towards the changes that have been occurring within the plastic industry and the changes in peoples attitudes to plastic. Plant Based Plastic is out there and it will be way of the future and I for one want this future now.

I am now off to the beach. After all this wind and rain there will be a heap of plastic to collect along the Northern Beaches. A shitty job, but someone's gotta do it.

Peace,

Mack
