Our guiding theme was Rock n’ Roll for issue #05 (and it’s close friends – sex and drugs) and once you see it, you’ll know we haven’t messed around. The cover’s by French graffiti sensations 123Klan and printed in an explosion of custom-mixed, retina scarring ultra-fluro! You’ll feel all sexy-dangerous just touching it.

This issue, well, It’s our best yet (I know we said that last issue, but really, we’re going to keep on saying it. It just keeps getting better. If it doesn’t, we promise to say, ‘this issue is just slightly inferior to the last’... next time. But that won’t happen...)

What’s in this issue that makes us so boastful?
• We celebrate the 20th birthday of Shepard Fairey’s Andre the Giant image.
• Exclusive photo shoot and interview with LA Tattoo photographer/T-shirt designer, Estevan Oriol and legendary tattooist Mister Cartoon.
• A 10 page ‘Step by Step’ special section on the T-shirt process – from concept through to sales.
• The rise of Australian exploitation tees with commentary by Not Quite Hollywood Director Mark Hartley.
• our Zappa-ised ‘Fembot in a Wet T-shirt’ photoshoot by Nicole Reed.
• The only A-Z of Music T-shirts you will ever need.
• Plus loads more on everything T-shirt-shaped including interviews with the creators behind Hakan, BKTM, Boski and more! It’s all killer, no filler!

Launch Par-Tee!

After the killer New York Launch for issue 4, we’re keeping to our own backyard for this issue and having the launch in Melbourne. We’ve taken over The Workers Club in Fitzroy (which is the old Rob Roy, with an extreme makeover).

In the spirit of giving you more bang for your buck, for a fiver, T-world will throw all this at you:
• 750+ tees will be given away from 2K by Gingham (Los Angeles), Chip and Pepper (Los Angeles), Graniph (Tokyo), Hakan (Melbourne), Howies (Wales), Mont Laroc (Melbourne), Project Frost* (Sydney) and more.
• 100 giveaway bags full of T-shirt goodness will be given out.
• There will be a Guitar Hero challenge early in the night with loads of prizes up for grabs.
• Performing on the night are: The Night Terrors, Keith! Party and The Babysitters Club along with the Heavy Mental DJs featuring Ann Ominous + Andre Van Glamme, Sydney’s own Magda and DJ Denvamax.
• Door prizes will be awarded for best rock tees worn on the night (you better dig out that Transvision Vamp tour t-shirt quick-smart)
• The venue is exclusive to T-world for the entire night - you’ll be part of T-shirt history.
