I’m Melanie, the editor of T, and also the fashion editor of this site.
Starting up T with my amazing and talented friends Eddie and Luke has meant unlimited access to all the goings-on of great streetwear labels around the world. Twice a year we print a particuarly well-designed tome loaded with in-depth interviews and loads of shots of the labels you want to know more about. Our blog will deliver snippets of info and the magazine will continue to deliver bulk, obsessive detail. Mmmmm juicy detail.
T has given me a very good excuse to spend stupid amounts on limited edition tees and travel to all corners of the globe. With my media pass in hand I have visited Berlin, Paris, London, Barcelona and more all with the excuse that I just have to find out more, and buy more of, the T-shirts of those towns.
I started T with a faint interest in the tee. That’s since developed into a wild, rampant obsession with black and white tees exclusively. Yes, my niche obsession has an extra level of nicheness.
Beyond black and white tees I look for talented designers, especially the chicks out there and those designing great tees for women.
Through my travels I have met great people, like Erin Wignall from Obey and Remco from Ontour, and what I’ve found is that behind the labels are great, creative and friendly people doing what they love and making a life out of it.
