UK label, Chunk float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee. Their tees this season have a prizefighter's right hook.

And they’re heading for Australia.

Bang! Boof! Pow! These tees hit you in all the right places. There’s nothing like a mix of two things that you don’t expect to see on a humble T-shirt. Who would have thought you’d see Muhammad Ali and Superman showing each other who’s the boss? Going by the print, Ali’s right hook is made of kryptonite.

The concept is a killer.

On their other tees we see Mr T. Famous for his fear of flying, the buffed up Snicker’s spokesman is pictured unleashing his fury on an unsuspecting pilot. The third tee imagines a Hulk/ Bruce Lee death match, with the fists of fury giving Dr Banner a serious beat down. The real deal wins over the comic hero in each scenario.

I’m a fan of Chunk’s work because they always manage to put two things in the one place that are foreign to each other. Their previous prints involve a lot of Star Wars oddities – like a Stormtrooper dressed as a surfer or Yoda as Vegas era Elvis.

The Chunk folio of work is largely the work of the talented Richard Sanders and after meeting him earlier this year, he has one thing on his mind. T-shirts. As a result, Chunk now produce some knockout tee designs every 12 weeks. As Rocky’s Adrian says, “It's suicide. You've seen him, you know how strong he is. You can't win.” Of course, she’s talking about the great Drago. And you can’t beat Chunk either. Richard’s mind has been there since the inception of the business over 9 years ago.

Who would you like to see in the ultimate battle?

For me, there’s nothing like bringing it back home – how good would it be to see Rolf Harris and Peter Russell- Clarke in a battle of the beards? “Hey Rolf, here’s the cheese!”

Anyway, ‘ave a good weekend.

T-il next time,

Eddie
