Melissa is a Brazilian company specialising in plastic shoes. The sustainable idea has become so popular world wide, that it has led to some amazing collaborations including the Anglomania collection with Vivienne Westwood. The collection has been snatched up by fashion adoring women all over the world, including Katy Perry and Beth Ditto.
The Melissa website hosts a ton of interesting information about the collections, the history of the brand and a link to the massive 48 countries the brand is stocked in.
There are nine campaigns featured on the Australian homepage of Melissa, but some of the stand out campaigns are featured for your viewing pleasure below.
The newest campaign is the Melissa Oxfords in the campaign 'Dancing Dreams'. The oxfords come in a few different colour combinations and were dreamed up by the duo Melissa Joy and
Alexandre Herchcovitch.
The colours err on the side of caution with the bold yet traditional black and white. For the more brave, try the all gold version. It'll be sure to add some punch to any black outfit.

For those truly into the sustainable living idea, try the Corallo; a collaboration with the Campana brothers. The Campana brothers have used their collaborations with Melissa as inspiration for their furniture designs. Check out their site for an idea of where design can take you.
The advertisement featuring growing trees and the dripping shoes is a delightful surprise.
The next campaign is Ultragirl Nightsky, an underwater dream, a collaboration with J. Maskrey. The gorgeous flat adorned with crystals is an extension of an earlier campaign in 2003.
And finally, the collaboration to end all collaborations, Anglomania. Vivienne Westwood, the well known queen of punk, collaborated with Melissa to release a collection of shoes that have become the most coveted collaboration ever.
The dream, incorporating Westwood's punk and traditional styles of shoes; slingbacks, t-bars, were updated with red love hearts, pastel colours and tough durable plastic.
