Steven Meisel has just published his third book, a glossy tome entitled
Three Hundred and Seventeen & Counting.
Compiled to celebrate his collaboration with Vogue Italia, for which he has shot each and every cover for the past 20-odd years … and counting (hence the title), it’s more than just another coffee table book likely to find its way into the home of every blooming fashionista, it’s important reference material for those budding as well.
At a glance one might say it’s just another collection of beautiful girls in beautiful clothes in beautiful locations, but I disagree. Take a closer look and you’ll notice it’s actually a fashion chronicle recording the rise and fall of icons and influence.
