Let's shake on it

Tuesday, July 22, 2008
When did we start greeting each other with, “Love what you’re wearing” and “Oh, don’t you look great.“ And stop asking, “How are you?” and “How do you do?”?

Why are we more concerned about how we look than how we feel? Surely both are of equal importance? I mean if it weren’t the case, cosmetics companies wouldn’t go to the trouble of putting fragrance in their products, now would they? So, let's all agree: it's high time we made the effort to know our friends inside and out again.

paintergirl Royalty paintergirl ON 27 Jul 2008 02:15:15PM because both greetings are lies. when someone says "How are you?" they don't mean it. and when some says "You looks great" they usually don't mean it either....

Best of beauty

I’ve been a make-up artist for the better part of a decade now: working in the fashion industry, on television commercials, music video clips and as a beauty advisor. I'll be taking this opportunity to comment on beauty in a conventional sense but also discuss how it can be found in the everyday and the seemingly mudane.
