Vaseline

For years we used it as a lip balm, though it never really did soothe our chapped lips. Nevertheless Vaseline is still perfect for greasing eyelids, slicking flyaways and highlighting cheeks and collarbones.

Create a less-than-perfect look by blending cream eye shadow across your lids (from lashes to the crease) then, using a brush for accuracy, daub Vaseline on top. Alternatively, add a sexy sheen by smoothing it along your cheekbones, the peak of your upper lip, your brow bones and décolletage.

Pearl Drops

Pearl Drops teeth whitening products are said to improve the whiteness and brightness of your teeth. Those who use them swear by them, reporting the range to be gentle on their gums (unlike some other preparations) whilst noticeably reducing the appearance of tooth discolouration.

Savlon

Remember when Savlon was the antiseptic cream of choice for healing grazed knees and pierced ears? Still a favourite, Savlon is now a cheap method for disinfecting pimples, ingrown hairs, razor cuts and other blemishes.
